Sandy Plains ARP Church is served through the ministry of the Word, the oversight of the Session, and the faithful labors of ministry coordinators. Under Christ, the pastor and ruling elders care for the spiritual well-being of the congregation according to Scripture and the principles of Presbyterian church government.

Preaching · Pastoral Care · Teaching

Pastor Hamer has faithfully shepherded Sandy Plains ARP Church for over 25 years. A graduate of Erskine Theological Seminary, he is devoted to expository preaching, pastoral care, and equipping the saints for the work of ministry.

As an Associate Reformed Presbyterian congregation, Sandy Plains is governed by a Session of teaching and ruling elders. The Session is accountable to the Presbytery, and the Presbytery to the General Synod of the ARP Church. This ordered form of church government reflects our conviction that Christ alone is Head of the Church.
